Getting started
The setup flow includes the following steps:
- Accept your invitation

- Start your machine
- Connect to your machine
Accepting your invitation
When an admin adds you to Managed Studio, they send you an invitation email.
To accept your invitation:

- Click Accept invitation
- Enter your name
- Enter a password, then enter it again to confirm it
- Click Register
If your studio uses single sign-on, you can click the single sign-on button instead of setting a password. For more information, please see Signing in.
Invitations are valid for 7 days. If yours has expired, please ask your admin to send a new one.
Signing in
To sign in:
- Go to the Sign in page
- Enter your email address

- Click Sign in
If your studio uses single sign-on, enter your email address and click Continue with SSO.
If you have forgotten your password, click Forgot your password? on the Sign in page.
Installing a connection client
You need a connection client installed on your computer before you can connect to a machine. The Quick links section of the Dashboard shows the installer for your operating system.
Supported clients include Amazon DCV and HP Anyware. If you are not sure which client you need, please ask your admin.
Your machines
Once you are signed in, the machines assigned to you are shown on the Dashboard under My machines. Each machine shows its name, region, type, start time and current status.
Starting and stopping your machine
To start your machine:
- Go to the Dashboard
- Click Start
- Wait 2 to 3 minutes for the machine to start
When the machine is running, Start changes to Reboot.
To restart your machine:
- Go to the Dashboard
- Click Reboot
To stop your machine:
- Go to the Dashboard
- Click the arrow on the right of the Reboot button
- Click Stop
Restarting or stopping your machine closes any open applications, so please save your work first.

To refresh a machine's status:
- Go to the Dashboard
- Hold the Option key on a Mac, or the Alt key on Windows. A Refresh button replaces the machine's status
- Click Refresh while still holding the key
